This is an excerpt of an article from the Buffalo Rising Site. www.buffalorising.com Peter Fowler had a fantastic turnout last evening for the opening of his latest gallery, KEPA3, on Barker. Let's see, where to start. How 'bout the front windows? A
good gallery should have great windows... take Brad Wales' Gallery 164 on Allen. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but when you drive by a gallery it is always nice to be able to see inside.
Likewise, when you are in a gallery that has a view to the outside, you can't help but pay attention to the goings on and activity that takes place on the front walk. KEPA3 is hard to miss. The lighting
works well with the space, and from the outside of the building there is a certain warmth that draws you right in. Throughout the night there was a cool vibe just about everywhere you looked. The people
that attended the show were as colorful as the art that they came to see. A multitude of congratulations swept the room as everyone welcomed Peter and his gallery to their new location. Local business owners
from the community came to show their support, as did a rather large faction of local artists. It was a cool scene all around. As the exhibit wrapped up a contingent of people headed over to Hardware on
Allen to see a visiting musician from Toronto... I was SORRY that I could not join them... I hope they had fun. Buffalo Rising. |
